Building Bridges Action Teams
The Event Team plans BB’s special events and fundraisers, and has a great time doing it! We need people who love team work, organizing, event planning, community, food and drink, decorating, brainstorming, connecting, marketing… and the list goes on!
We host events that reflect our values, expand our mission, and make our guests want to come back. We are committed to creating events that are out-of-the-box, creative, and engaging. If you want to be part of this, let us know! Email firstname.lastname@example.org with “Event Team” in the subject line.
And BIG thanks to our 2018 Event Team: Grace Edgin, Jaala Hemingway, Melissa Nochlin, Sonja Pardee, and Raegan Quattlebam.
The Curriculum Team has the important job of making recommendations to refresh our Transform curriculum. Team members are guided through a process of reviewing the latest relevant information–like recent program feedback, new research, and other materials related to our work. Then they review our curriculum and recommend updates based on what they learned.
Thank you to last year’s members: Kate Deeny, Medhini Kumar, Aili Miyake, Katie Muhvich, Deme Yuan!
The Recruitment Team, mostly made up of Building Bridges alumni, comes together each year with one critical goal: to recruit a brand new group of Transform youth participants! This team does focused outreach with schools, organizations, and individual students. Once students apply, the Recruitment Team reviews applications, does interviews, and works together to offer students spots in the program.
This year’s members are doing an incredible job bringing in applicants for Transform! Thank you to Julia Fontana, Cindy Nguyen, Maria Ordoñez, Sonja Pardee, Raegan Quattlebaum, and Julianna Rohn!
